A River God

A River God is a work by Italian artist Pompeo Batoni (1708 - 1787). It's one sketch and study pencil drawing created in 1768. The painting is owned by the museum of Kupferstichkabinett - Staatliche Museen zu Berlin, one of the museums with the most Pompeo Batoni works, and is accessible to the general public. Pompeo Batoni was influenced by Neoclassicism and Rococo, and made most paintings about portrait and sketch and study.
