A Skidegate Pole

A Skidegate Pole is a work by Canadian artist Emily Carr (1871 - 1945). It's one landscape oil on canvas painting created in 1941-1942. The painting is owned by the museum of Vancouver Art Gallery, one of the museums with the most Emily Carr works, and is accessible to the general public. Emily Carris a female artist, an unusual sight among the men painters of her day. Emily Carr was influenced by Modernism and Post-Impressionism, and made most paintings about landscape and figure and tableau.
