Bacchante

Bacchante is a work by world-famous French artist Élisabeth Vigée-Lebrun (1755 - 1842). It's one nude oil on canvas painting created in 1785. The painting is owned by the museum of Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute - Williamstown, MA, and is accessible to the general public. Élisabeth Vigée-Lebrunis a female artist, an unusual sight among the men painters of her day. Élisabeth Vigée-Lebrun was influenced by Rococo, and made most paintings about portrait and nude.
