Clio, the Muse of History

Clio, the Muse of History is a work by world-famous Italian artist Artemisia Gentileschi (1593 - 1652). It's one portrait oil on canvas painting created in 1632. The painting is privately owned and may not be always open to the public. Artemisia Gentileschiis a female artist, an unusual sight among the men painters of her day. Artemisia Gentileschi was influenced by Baroque, and made most paintings about figure and tableau and portrait.
