Elephants

Elephants is a work by British artist Marianne North (1830 - 1890). It's one animal oil on board painting created in 1880-1889. The painting is owned by the museum of Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, one of the museums with the most Marianne North works, and is accessible to the general public. Marianne Northis a female artist, an unusual sight among the men painters of her day. Marianne North was influenced by Naturalism, and made most paintings about flower and tree and landscape.
