Field Naturalists

Field Naturalists is a work by Australian artist Jane Sutherland (1853 - 1928). It's one landscape oil on canvas painting created in 1896. The painting is owned by the museum of National Gallery of Victoria - Melbourne, one of the museums with the most Jane Sutherland works, and is accessible to the general public. Jane Sutherlandis a female artist, an unusual sight among the men painters of her day. Jane Sutherland was influenced by Impressionism, and made most paintings about landscape and figure and tableau.
