Isle of the Dead, also Toteninsel, is a work by Swiss artist Arnold Böcklin (1827 - 1901). It's one seascape oil on panel painting created in 1883. The painting is owned by the museum of Alte Nationalgalerie - Staatliche Museen zu Berlin, and is accessible to the general public. Arnold Böcklin was influenced by Symbolism, and made most paintings about landscape and figure and tableau.
