The Sleeping Cavalier

The Sleeping Cavalier is a work by Dutch artist Jacob Ochtervelt (1634 - 1682). It's one figure and tableau oil on panel painting created in 1660-1665. The painting is owned by the museum of Manchester Art Gallery, one of the museums with the most Jacob Ochtervelt works, and is accessible to the general public. Jacob Ochtervelt was influenced by Baroque and Dutch Golden Age, and made most paintings about figure and tableau and portrait.
