View in the White Mountains, also "The High Peaks, " Adirondacks, is a work by American artist William Trost Richards (1833 - 1905). It's one landscape oil on canvas over panel painting created in 1866. The painting is privately owned and may not be always open to the public. William Trost Richards was influenced by American Landscape, Hudson River School, and American Pre-Raphaelites, and made most paintings about seascape and landscape.
