Virgin and Child

Virgin and Child, also Icon of the Virgin Mary of the Don, is a work by Russian artist Theophanes the Greek (ca. 1340 - 1410). It's one portrait tempera on panel painting created in 1395. The painting is owned by the museum of Tretyakov Gallery - Moscow, and is accessible to the general public. Theophanes the Greek made most paintings about portrait.
